rubik cube

imagine life is like an un arrange rubik cube. trying to arrange one side to make it a perfectly a same color is pretty easy right?? how about making all sides the same color =) not many has the skills to do so.

lets put our life's into perspective. in today's society, everyone is aiming to be a prefect person. perfect personality, perfect family, perfect home, perfect choices and all. yet most of us will agree in this world, there is no such thing as perfect. the definition of perfect could mean the best of all, yet nothing will satisfy the craving of perfectness in human nature. a primary 5 kid will aim for a 100% for his/her test which he/she consider perfect score. yet as an adult, whats perfect? the word perfect has been use to lure all kinds of people into getting stuff, perfect holiday destination, perfect home, perfect car and perfect job. and 2 days later the once said perfect will be no longer be the perfect choice as a new perfect choice appear. so what happens to those that made the perfect choice before??

sadly, choices human are creatures that link to other creatures(including plants and animals) that share the same place they are living in. humans are link to other humans some way or other. therefore decisions made by a single human will cause a domino effect to others as well.. in fact there is a chance the decision made is part of a domino effect of another decision the other end of earth.

back to the rubik story. by aiming to be a perfect person, one might cause other creatures into more misery IF the person works alone. and if a perfect person doesn't want to give way, then others will not be able to be perfect. yet, if an imperfect person, refuse to be perfect, then others might not be able to be perfect as well. complex?? not really.

a twisting motion of a rubik cube will cause changes to at lease 3 other sides of the cube. if a single side refuse to move, then the other sides will not be able to move as well. putting it into life, if a perfect person refuse to give in and just being selfish, although he might not know it, but he's causing suffering to other people around him/her. if fact, he might break other's perfect life just be be perfect himself. good examples are drug dealers... by selling drugs to earn money and get what he wants, he destroy life of others.

so, what other want to be perfect, and just a single person refuse to be perfect? going back to the rubik cube, imagine a un-arranged rubik cube, all other five sides wants to have the same color, but the 6th side refuse to move. is it possible to solve the rubik puzzle?? lets say the 6th side has only green blue and yellow.. so u might think that the red and white surface will not be affected right? not exactly. thou the white and red surface might not be directly affected by the 6th side, but maybe the last pieces to complete both red and white is in green. therefore, the main problem causing thing is still in the 6th side refusing to move. in life, we rely on others to gain what we need to be perfect, and others rely on us in the same reasons and this goes on linking everyone together. if someone in the middle of the chain refuse to give what others need, then everyone behind the chain will be affected.

it is not impossible to solve a rubik cube, which in a way shows to us that all of us could have a perfect life if we are more willing to change, to give and take, and less selfish. if all side of a rubik cube is willing to move and change places even if the move away from its own side for a moment, at the end, it will sure return to its own side to make a complete perfect rubik cube. just as life, if we are willing to share our most important share such as time(volunteering) or money(donation) or even by spending 1 hour having a needle stuck in your arm to donate blood or blood products. afterall what goes around come around right.

the orange

gosh... its that time of the year again where everyone is going "how's ur exams preperation going" than the normal "how are you?? " to start a conversation. in another 18 days, we will be having our 1st paper of the 2nd year as a podiatry student. and when exam comes, its the time where drinking coffee to stay awake and not sleep is forgiven ^^

its been a long while since i last updated this site. previous post was in april, and now its already june. i have a few post typed in draff, yet i didn post it up due to my own reasons, this site isn't as close as before a few years back where i basically rant everything and anything out over here. now... lets just say life is getting more complicated where i rather spend more time in trying to uncomplicate things than ranting everything out and hope it goes uncomplicated by itself.

recent updates on uni will be, been seeing patients, and so far 1st few clinical sessions went pretty well *i think* all the people i seen still have their 10 toes with them and non of them came back in with toes dropping off their feet yet.. *fingers cross*. as usual, this year being balancing work, studies and social life again. given previous experiences, i manage to balance out my time more better now.. saying more 'no' than 'yes' and erm.. basically isolating myself from time to time. big thanks to the gang that help me through the weeks where im rushing tru the assignments while the need to complete the notice board. i will be dead if u guys didn help me with that.

sometimes people wonder why i work every week, while actually i could just finish uni without working any part time jobs. well, given the current working hours and amount, basically i could self support my meals, and bills which is something i'm pretty proud of myself. of course as a student, especially in uni, failing isn't an option plus, now i have stuff that makes failing a horrible nightmare, anyway, the most happiest thing of all, i could get the things i like myself. recent buying that made me pretty sad, yet happy will be my new dell laptop.

i do wonder sometimes, how the local students do it. initially, i thought because they are staying with their family, they could manage their time better, since they dont have to cook and do house chores, but after knowing a friend of mine that basically self-support and study together, (she basically pays eveyrthing herself.. rent, bills, food etc. etc.) i started to wonder.. how can she do it?? as a student from malaysia, studing and working at the same time isn't our culture at all. we tend to concentrate on studying, and ENJOYING Uni life before starting to work. i do understand that mindset since i was brought up in malaysia to start with. yet sometimes i do get disappointed when people thinsk that its my lost as i cant spend time ENJOYING uni life as i got work to do. i'll get back to this topic after my exams.. holidays are really the best time to work!!! =P and yesh.. im planing to do so.. so dont stop me.

oh and yes, im going back home, sandakan, malaysia this coming summer break!! will be a short trip given i've been away from malaysia for 1 year plus now. funny, i realise i'm not a home sick person, but i make a new home everywhere i go.. =x wonder if this is a good thing?? haha.. and of course i like to go back and enjoy food n stuff back home, but i dont really mind staying back here not going back for the summer break too. is this normal?? neway.. im heading home in febuary next year.. till march.

anyway, off to class now.

the orange

its almost a quarter of the year gone, and im currently feeling pretty drain already. given there is 3 more quarters to go, i wonder how this year will end. i might be as dried as the salted fishes they sell back in malaysia. hahaha

anyway, currently having my mid term break. the planned relaxing break isn't happening as usual. my plans are never successful anyway. but, im just relaxing as much as possible to face the 2nd half of the year. i wonder the reason of being in adelaide for too long contributed to the feeling of being drained. maybe i should take a real holiday... physically, the body is fit and ready to go. yet mentally, its pretty much running at full speed. things just keep turning and churning and running over and over in the head. i wonder if that's what a computer feels every time its being switch on. if that's so, being a computer pretty much sucks...

i wonder if we have a button or a spot on our body where, once activated, we could go into a shutdown mode. worry free, not needed to think about. and all. is not that things are bad here.. things are actually better than i expected. but little things when added up kinda makes a whole lot of bad stuff. oh well, will just take down one by one right?? or maybe 2 together... after all im pretty much able to handle it i guess..

its hard to understand people sometimes. sometimes, when u think u understand someone, but the truth is that will never happen. i once told my friend, 'i have lost the touch to understand people..' the thing my friend replied was, 'maybe is not you.. maybe is just people getting harder to understand'. it made me thinking is it true as we grow older, life gets more and more complicated? or is it true that things just get complicated because its meant to be complicated?

people tell me im a fast person. i walk fast, i can work fast, type fast, and also think fast. i been walking fast till sometimes i wonder if that's the reason im not gaining weight. anyway, is being fast that good? is maximizing time really that important compare to being slower?? do you really get a better result if u do something slower but u put less heart in it?? do you 'think-too-much" when you think fast?? do your neurons over fire making you go 'if this, if that, if, if, and more if's?? does being fast really kills??

there are so many unanswered questions running in the brain now.. what, how, why, who, this and that, some are pretty lame and unimportant, and some are things that i should be thinking about. yet, this questions will remain unanswered for the time being. and when the time comes, im sure that these questions will be answered.

for those that reads this and think im in a deep mess, don't worry, im just pretty much as usual.. after all, there are always ups and downs in life right?? there are so many things that i really want now. but the thing that i really need is to slow my brain down. just a little will be good.

p/s: i need some happy post soon.... hmmmmm

cafe~

walking through the door, the aroma of the shop feels the atmosphere, the sound of milk being froth feels the air, soft conversations feels the ear and a welcome smile from the barista welcomes. his graceful movements in making drinks is well known throughout the street.

"one regular latte please" he said. looking into the shop, he spotted a glowing smile sitting at the back corner, everything else dissolve into the background. he smiled back, collecting his warm latte he walks steadily to the glow. he sat, right in front of the glow, ignoring everything else, with a bright smile in front of him, he asked, "how are you today dear??" she answered cheerfully, "i'm good. how was work today?"....

further down the shop, a lady, well dressed sitting alone. her face shows loneliness, and her wrinkled face shows aged. her frail hands pick up the mug of cappuccino bringing it closer to her mouth. the froth covers her lips, and she smiled lightly, giving sense of joy. gently with the other thin looking hand, she wipes off her lips and wonders back to her long deep thoughts. her surrounding dissolves instantly, with her long stare into the mug. she remembered the times when she brought her daughter with her into the shop, sitting at the exact same table, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate. but with work and family taking over her daughter's life, that's left a memory and a dream.

on the next table, a man, in the forties, quickly sat down, putting his bag next to him and lay his cup of long black on the table next to his newspaper. without looking he grab a brown paper packet, tear it and pour the contend into the cup. stirring it with his left, and flipping with his right, with such skills that as if he was doing it for years. the baristar brought his choc chip muffin and put it down for him. after glancing through the headlines, he put his paper aside, and cuts the muffin and place them into his mouth, he looks out of the window of the shop, with a focused face, he continues with his meal.

the cold autumn weather, brought a couple in, cuddling in the corner, whispering to each other, with a cup of mocha in between their hands, with a right hand stretch across her shoulder, and hers on his lap, they chatted away. not bothering stares from others. with little chuckles from time to time. sipping from the mug, seems like the most happiest thing to do there. the sweetness feeling of their conversation is spreading, and every time the barista look at them, he smiled, remembering the times he met his wife, many many years ago.

as the sun goes to rest, and the sky turn yellow, they slowly left the shop, leaving the barista alone. he quickly cleans up, sweep the floor, and close the cashier. leaving the shop and heads home, with his heart, contended.
