PES (post exam syndrome)

exams just ended last thursday. and i am still feeling tired up to this day....
well, overall, i did ok for my exams i guess, so now hopping for the best for all papers. *fingers crossed*

this exam was kind of a different experience overall compare to all other exams i have been through. the major difference is that, the exams are held in a different place from my Uni and all students have to take a 20 minutes bus to that veneu. other than that, exams are held in HUGE halls, where everyone from different courses sit and have their paper. Soooo... here is part of my experience...

on the 1st day of the exams, was a saturday morning 9.00 a.m. paper. and guess what time i woke up??? *insert suspense music* I WOKE UP AT 8.00 in the morning!!!! so.. u were wondering whats the big deal?? well, i promised a few of my friends that we will catch a cab to the exam veneu at 8.00. I called the cab to come pick us up at 8 and i woke up at 8!! geng a not?? i took 5 minutes to change, clean myself and made breakfast and another 5 minutes to meet up with my friends and catch the cab. talk about adrenaline rush man... lucky we planned to take the cab.. if not i most probably missed the bus already. phew~ we made it to the exam hall in time, everything went well after that. So.. lesson learned.. if you need to wake up early on a major event, get some one to get you up. there is a difference from waking up and getting up... never ever trust mobile phone alarms.. they kill....

on the last day of my exam, which was a thursday, my last paper was at 6.30 in the evening. and right before entering the exam hall, we have to group outside. man.. the wind was blowing and everyone was freezing. with the addition of the pre-exam-nervousness, somehow the shivering is almost similar to having a fits or epilepsy attack. the thermoreceptors in the skin will fire rapid impulses as if there will be no tomorrow.

another thing about that paper was, it was beyond expected.. we were conned by our lecturer!!! evil Evil EVIL!!!! haha.. joking lah.. she is one of the best lecturer for this sem. well, i guess is part of the students fault as well. we was given a revision lecture and the lecturer gave us 'tips' about the exam plus an exact extended answer(essay) exam question as bonus for our obedience in lecture. [see how kind of her...] SOOOOooooo.... as 'obedience' students, all most of us, treat that lecture as gospel and studied ONLY what ever she put in the lecture slides. OK.. thats not much problem... the problem is... WE... the obedience students went and spot other extended answer question that is coming out. AND.. worst part is we thought that the question she gave us was a 15 mark question. MANA TAU... when i saw the paper.... is only worth 5 marks... *BIG SWEAT* and many of the questions we tried to spot and memorised DID NOT COME OUT!!!! and what that is not in the revision lecture slides WAS ASK IN THE EXAM!!!! KNS betul
SOooo.. lesson learn, STUDY EVERYTHING.. AND...DO NOT EVER TRY TO BE SMARTER THAN THE LECTURER!!! no matter what tricks u do.. they will be always smarter... after all, knowing more is better than knowing less??

during all the exams, the brain is being so focus on that paper that i could not even day dream, i did not notice who is sitting around me, and so focus that i did not even remember to shake my legs or to chew my chewing gum which is sitting in my mouth between my upper and lower molar. i don't even remember that i was hungry because i didn't had a proper dinner for my last paper... geng a not??

oh well, now that everything is over, fingers cross, toes cross, eye cross, tongue cross, hand cross leg cross that the exam results will be good!!! please please pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee~

the orange~exams

while i was walking home today, after a long day in uni, spending almost 8 hours straight with biomechanics disscussions with my mates, i just realise 3 no.. 2 things.....

  1. EXAMS in THIS SATURDAY!!!!!
  2. IS THE END OF MY 1ST SEM IN UNI!!!
  3. HOLIDAYS ARE COMMING

point 1,
exams are begining on this saturday 9 oclock in the morning for my 1st paper and ends next thursday at 8.30 p.m. so, unless times like this, (its 1.45 a.m. now) when there are studies get overboard, there wont be much action here.. there are mix feelings of this exams, part of me telling me that i should do well, other part is telling me i cannot ever fail this exam. although the failing rate for one of the particular subject (anatomy) is freaking high, there are other stuff to worry as well... damn, shall i be worried or be confident?? no.. over confidence is sucide.. better be worried... =/

point 2,
in a blink of an eye is already 1 sem past.... will conclude everything that happen after my exams.. as always....

point 3
yay!! at last my 1st winter is coming.. so far i some plans in my break.. so, my 1 month is kinda not empty. yet not too full.

damn... screw you wenqi.. you are suppose to study and kick this site away....

*back to books........*

Food For Thought

orange's note: wow, i didn know this was set up so fast, and whats worst... ITS SET UP RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY EXAM SEASON!!!!! 'YAU MOU GAU CHOR AH!!!"

======================================================

preview~

hahaha.. we have food blogs all over the place, and we have food bloggers as well. other than that, we of course have people eating food everywhere and in everywhere there are best [insert-food-name] in [insert-location]. so, this blog is typically introducing food which we think, well, best in Sandakan.

Sandakan, as they intro in the their post, is situated in the East of Sabah, other words for North Borneo. also famously once known as 'little hong kong' and now pretty well known as the nature city and land without electricity and water. Nevertheless, it serve good good food, agreeable by many. also was famous for its logs and rain forest which is now replace by oil palm plantations, its orang utan, and not forgetting... the wonderful fresh seafood.

Sandakan Food For Thought is art-ed by a 3 sandakan grown up bloggers, and now currently persuing their studies away from home. althought they are not physically in sandakan, the memories of taste still lingers strongly in their mind, thus promoting 2 of them to start the blog, draging the 3rd one together. and guess what, the 3 of them will be becoming a doctor, a chef/
patisierie, and not forgetting, a podiatrist.. (i think is kinda obvious that i am part of the blog.... =]).

the blog is young.. just about 1 week old. .and it has 5 post up to today. nevertheless, it needs all the support and suggestions there are. so feel fee to just drop us a note if u find/found or creating a nice place for others to endulge themselves with great food or drinks. although is only 5 post, there already show 3 of my all time favourite food. >.< class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">browse around, tell us which is your favourite, and of course, if you drop by the nature city, come and try our suggestions... maybe you will agree with us. see ya around~

p/s: and yes.. sandakan-ians DOES LIVE ON TREES, HAVE LAPTOPS MADE OUT OF COCONUT SHELLS, RIDES AND ELEPHANT TO SCHOOL AND WEAR CLOTHS MADE OUT OF TREE LEAVES..... (whoever that believes this is a total failure.... wait.. hopeless is more like the word...... )

huh?? he realised??

goverment WILL be taking 4 measures to ease burden

and some of the measures are......
  • cost-saving measures by government departments and agencies
  • expanding the social safety net for people in the lower income bracket and underprivileged groups like single mothers and the handicapped (point no 12)
  • enlarging the list of controlled items to keep costs down
  • improving public transport such as PUTTING MORE BUSSES ON THE ROADS (point no 14)

SEE WHAT DID I TELL YOU?? I can be PM already =P

oh wait.... for the point number one... cost saving measures by gov departments... guess what example our PM gave.... quoting..

"...reducing overseas travel and the number of officials involved."

"...cost cutting on gouverment departments and agencies..."

what the H**L. can't he come up with a better example??? ugh...

minister: dear, i will be going to bangkok tomorrow...

typical malaysians??

most of the people are now aware that fuel price in malaysia has being increase by 40% from RM1.79 to RM2.00 per liter overnight. whats worst is that fuel subsidy will be abolish by the august this year. nevertheless, despite multiple hints and warning from the government that they 'cannot' prevent this from happening, the rakyat are still angry with the decision. being a malaysian and almost up to date on happenings there.. [stressed on the word 'almost'], lets predict what will happen in the next few months.
  • a royal commissioner will be set up to investigate the missing money from the fuel subsidies
  • protest from so-call 'non-political' bodies, NGO's
  • increase in price of teh-tarik.. from RM1.50 to 3.50, reason given from sellers saying, increase price of fuel, causes increase price in tea leaves.
  • increase price in meals from RM5.00 per meal to RM15.00 per meal,
  • increase price in almost everything due to so call 'ripple effect' from the fuel cost
  • opposition party leader, taking this as a opportunity to topple the government
  • people going out to the streets to protest
  • people signing memorandum and march to the palace and hand it to the king
  • police sprays people with water cannons.... (might not happen, police force need to save petrol to escort the big-shorts to airports)
  • appearance of many youtube clips singing how bad is the ruling government
  • fishermen stranded at the jetty as they cant afford the new price of diesel, causing people to eat canned fish as their protein supply.
  • government plans to have special subsidies for 'special-needed' people
  • public transport increase fairs, causing a public uproar.
  • government promise to improve on public transport by puting more busses on the road
  • people start to walk and cycle all over the place, causing an increase of skin cancer reports (eek..)
  • more people die on buses as overcrowded happens and another royal commissioner is set up to investigate what exactly happen.. (due to fuel price lah... duh.. =.=)
  • blogger start attacking the government in cyberspace
  • prime minister starts his own blog... 'i-am-awake.blogspot.com' getting 2 millions hits per day.. wining chedet.com.
  • increase in prices of fans and a drop of price of air conditioning units due to increase of electicity bill.
  • [can't think of anymore...]

at the end of the day..... my bet on whats going to happen.... N-O-T-H-I-N-G

yeah... you know why?? because nothing will happen. life will goes on, there will be some complains at the coffee shop between old men and woman will exchange chats during early morning market trips.. but, nothing will happen. at least fuel price will not drop, but malaysians will just move along with their life... what say you??

the orange ~ weekly

when we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves;
it is useless to seek it elsewhere.
.
its 1.00 in the morning now. and i just finish 1/3 of my assignment. this weekend was normal. and life here is normal and there is nothing hot happening.. i really wish that i can start my blog with something big such as.... erm...I WON 1,000,000 DOLLARS lottery or I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND( no, i am not desperate) but then, somehow things never happen that i wan't them to happen... i am sure many out there is waiting for me to say i am in relationship rite?? too bad.. they have to wait...
anyway.....
.
i think i did mention on a dissection project somwhere before. guess what, it started. me n another 3 of the pods are in the middle of a generous person that donated 'the person's' body for science. well, we got a kinda unexpected person, and we had to remove lots of bits out. at the moment, after spending 4 hours with the generous person, we found 2 out of 6 muscle we are suppose to find. well, i am going to save the details from you guys just in case you all had a meal before reading this. something spooky happen thou... hehehe.. after going tru this, i have concluded that i am not going to donate my body for science.... =P.
.
other than that, its official that organising stuff is dead tiring. and i will try not to organise anything for anytime soon. getting everything fix together and making sure everything runs kinda mental stressful and also physical taxing. at least i am helping someone(or being help??) to organise that event. nevertheless, it went out fine. not to my expectations thou.. but it was fine i guess. BUT i expected more.... *sad*
.
another 2 more weeks of lecture and 3 more weeks to exams... yeah.. i been preparing for my 1st exams for my 1st sem. so.. life kinda dull now.. when everyone is pushing against the exams... is nice to hear many going home for their break.. enjoying home food is something i sometimes crave..
.
thats all for now, brain has move into anerobic respiration state already. damn... had to head off early later... in the cold gloomy weather.. *wonders if the sun is out tomorrow*
nites~
