angels in disguise

as you leave your room right before you close the door, the bottle of water which you left at the edge of the table drop. you re-enter the room and while you pick up the bottle, you notice your house keys are on the table.

as you almost cross the road but you forgotten to wait for the traffic to stop, you saw something interesting on the ground. as you look towards the road again, a car zoom past you and you realise if you did not look on the ground, you will be hit by the car while crossing the road.

you had a rough day. you want to finish off the day by sleeping for the next 18 hours hopping everything will be okay once you wake up. right before you sleep, a old friend gives you a ring telling you that he/she is having a bad bad time as well. both of you talk about how bad things are and at the end, both of you feels that what ever that happens which made your day crap isn't that bad after all.

you walk to a traffic light where you need to cross the road. and every time you walk towards the traffic lights, the traffic lights will turn red and stop all cars giving you the green light to cross the road. every day, at the different hours... is this pure timing or something else??

as you were sitting right in front of the lecture hall, right before the lecturer enters, your phone ring loudly. your friend short message you asking you out for lunch. you quickly reply the message and you realise your phone is not in the silent mode. right after you change it to silent mode, the lecturer starts the lecture. in the middle of lecture, you recieve the phone call. if your friend didn't message you, your phone will be ringing in the middle of and everyone will be staring at you.

these are the 5 examples that i had encounter before which i couldn't stop thinking, why sometimes life is so amazing that as if there are someone protecting you even you cant see them around. some might say they are angels in disguise, some might say its just fate that u see them, or some might say they happen, without any explanations.

sometimes life gives us wonders that we can't explain. to those that believe in god, they might say god is guiding them in life. as for others, maybe the 'spirits' of their beloved stays with them, protecting them in anyway possible. as for others, they believe that this things happens for a reason beyond explanation. the feeling of the 1st situation where something made u turn back your original plan just to 'let-u-know' that u left something behind always gives me deeps thoughts.

as i am quite a forgetful person, these 'signs' didn't only happen once.. but quite a number of times where right after i leave my room or my front door, a sudden feeling of the urge that i need to go back into my room comes to me. and if i follow my 'feeling' somehow or rather, i would find something that i suppose to bring out on that day whether is my keys, my notes, or my over due library books. even if i am late and i am rushing out of the door these things will happen. is this the act of the sub-conscious mind or the act of the 'higher-powers"??

there are many stories saying that 'if i didn't went to somewhere sometime, i will be dead' kind of stories around. and always if i read them, i always wonder, why does it happen to 1 and not others?? why is he so special?? or are we saying that is not his fate that some thing good/bad will happen on him/her?? have you ever wonder why it happens??

as life moves on, we will all experience things that is very hard for us to explain. some might just take it as their lucky day or there are some signs from/for something/someone. as for me, i am just thankful that there are these tiny signs that could help me in making my day a better one.

kitchen

they say experience can teach you many things. and holding on to my part time job for 2 months, well, i gain some stuff.... you know you are in the kitchen when..... obviouly, the job i had before as an teaching asistant and the job now is a whole different world... so yea.. here it goes~

before going into the kitchen:
~what ever you bring.. a pair of rubber shoes must not be forgotten
~black is the color in the kitchen. is not because we look good in black. wait.. we do look good in black. =)
~after a while working.. you will notice that a cup of coffee will make you more alert in the kitchen. drink before going to work. COFFEE not alcohol.. COFFEE!!
~DON'T BE LATE!!! receiving phone calls from the restaurant in the middle of the day is never a good thing.

in the kitchen:
~you will pick up skills to be lazy with the same out come... or at lease look the same..
~the receptors in the hand will stop working for the whole time while you are in the kitchen. what ever cuts, scratch and burns will only be notice 30 minutes after you leave the restaurant. or when you notice blood all over the things you touch. as for burn, you will see you burn youself before you feel the pain. you will go... shit i burn myself (visual reflex) then... OUCH!!! (reflex action)
~sensors in fingers will evolve to calculsensors that when you take something, it will be the exactly the amount you want. 4 long bean, 4 broccoli, 4 capsicum, 4 carrot stick, 4.... 4.... 4.... 4....
~you will learn a whole new different kitchen language. exp: corri, roti, yellow and mango. and 'hot plate take away' doesn't exist.
~you will curse when there are too many people, you will also curse when there is nothing to do.
~watch out for flying empty plastic boxes
~microwave is your best friend in the kitchen
~every time you cook the rice, make sure u switch the rice-cooker on. if not.............
~time flies so slow that after washing a pile of dishes, clearing the dustbin, cook rice you only realise eh... only 30 minutes ah?? so slow de???? (this is because you are going so fast that it seems like the time slows down.. initial-D principal). it use to take 1 hour when i just started. =)
~you make so good friends with the kitchen items that you know which rack of the dish washer can hold 5 plates, which can whole 4, and you will know removing which bowl will cause others to fall onto the floor.
~washing dishes become so normal that, you ca fall asleep standing but your hands keep washing the plates.
~you will not like waiters that never clean the plates that is left in the corner..
~' i dont know', 'anything' or 'whatever' means chinese fry rice for staff meal.

back home from kitchen:
~1st thing you notice... you stink.
~apart from band aid, moisturizer will be your second best friend to fight against the main enemy, the dish washing soap.
~when ever you go to a restaurant and order, you will automatically imagine the whole process of cooking the dishes. and you will be nice to the people in the kitchen when the food is slow if the restaurant is busy.
~you will try to avoid to order certain dishes because you know its pre-cook and only reheating is needed.
~you will not share all this things all over the place because you know you are working to people that are closely relate to your friends.. so close that what ever you do in uni will be known in the kitchen
~your meal time are so screwed that you will have lunch at 3 and dinner at 12.
~when you cook at your own kitchen, you will always compare it with the kitchen at the restaurant.

i shall not tell you where exactly i work. and all above are just my point of view and nothing to do with the place i work. so yea... writer will not take any responsibilities on any outcome from this post.

the orange~ health science

warning: content of this post might be sensitive and harmful to certain readers.. proceed at reades own risk.

being studying under a health science course(podiatry), and being able to understand more of the human body than many others, makes 1 really think hard when there is some weired feeling in his/her own body. for me, as a anatomy and physiology student, (and some biomechanics), people's leg pain interests me very much. (i know this phrase sounds wrong). and, of course the clumsy me is full of musculoskeletal pain and cuts n bruses all over especially after i started working.

nevertheless, being a podiatry student, wait.. i rephrase.. being a anatomy, biomechanics and physiology student, people has begin to shoot me with all kinds of foot problems. stuff like, eh... my foot pain.. how?? or, there is a growth at some where, somehow, and some color.. wat's dat?? like i say, peoples pain interest me.. the phrase interest me and 'i-know-wats-wrong-with-u' is so totally different. how on earth i know whats wrong with your wat ever foot problems as i haven't even start learning any foot conditions yet. i know.. i know.. i am a pod student but then, A STUDENT HERE means i am learning... i am not working or treating any1 yet ok?? i don't even know whats wrong with my 1st metsophalengeal joint and both of my knees how am i suppose to ans all the questions?? mayb i can answer your question in 3 years time given your leg is still with you. GO AND SEE A FREAKING DOCTOR orPOD or BOMOH whatever you want!!! they are there to answer your questions...

nevertheless, being a biomechanics student in podiatry means we have to understand the way people walk, sit, and stand n stuff. which is interesting as some of my course mates have the same experience as i am. we 'accidentally' look at people's ass/legs etc. etc. when they walk. then we will go.. oh.. this guy has a pelvic drop... or his calcaneum is inverted.. or hey.. small feet.. or.. hmm.. i can see your gastrocs.. or 'wow.. sexy legs... 'ops.. too much observation.. thou is weired.. but then.. hey.. we have to apply what we learn right??

and as a physiology student, we understand how the body works more than many others... the way the body wiring and plumbing, the security system, and of course all the disease and disorders. which makes people like me.. erm.. kinda paranoid? oh man.. i am not gaining weight.. my thyroids are abnormal... or.. my joints are aching.. damn.. arthritis.. or we go.. our food goes into our mouth.. stomach.. [includes 1000 word long process]. even when we eat.. we think of the effects of our food.. diabetes, high blood pressure.. heart attack.. oh man... i am so not going to eat anything.... food kills... they really do.. =/

and again, as a anatomy, biomechanics and physiology student in podiatry. I DO NOT DO FOOT MASSAGE. STOP QUESTIONING ME ON FOOT MASSAGE. IF YOU WAN A FOOT MASSAGE GO THAILAND OR BALI OR SOMETHING.. DONT COME TO ME AND GET A FOOT MASSAGE OR ELSE I AM GOING TO REMOVE ALL YOUR FOOT MUSCLES LAYER BY LAYER... AND YES.. THIS IS A THREAD. AND YES, I HAVE A DISSECTION KIT WITH ME AT HOME.. DONT YOU TRY TO TEMP ME IN USING MY SCAPLE BLADE AGAIN.. I AM HAPPY TO GET MY OTHER FRIEND TO DISSECT YOUR FOOT AGAIN. WE GOT HIGH GRADES IN DISECTING LEGS AND FEETS... the nerves in your toes all comes from the same nerve and is not related to your eyes mouth ears or something... so yea.. NOT RELATED. (at least in the western medicine field). yea.. dats all...

p/s: yinng, al da best in UK ya.. =)
