1st quater!!

yeah.. its the end of the 1st quarter of 2007.. time flies huh?? sad.. anyway to summarise things up..
warning: might be a bit boring n its quite long..
before i start.. here is a quote(again) : map your future, only with pencil (bon jovi)

January
arrive back to KK on the 1st of JJanuary and got myself busy with EB stuff.. hehe.. so erm.. what have i done in the first month: drank alcohol on new year's day.. was an experience thou.. officially started working as a EB vice president, then in school went to promote EB on the 2nd day of school. meet all the year ones and then running around telling year ones to nominate themselves.. interview 10 people. cross 6 names. got shouted in the face for 15 long minutes, was down for a few days after that. got AS results, not happy with results, drop physics, went to leadership camp in Kundasang, threatend candidates that will remove the light bulb if they don't sleep.. score of the month 6 out of 10

February
skip my 1st school event, Sports day.. hehe.. was proud of that.. haha.. Bro left to Aus.. busy with EB fix n free campaign.. then lots of EB stuff my boss burn his feet(2nd degree) so got to take over lucky got another vice president.. phew.. election day... progress test, got a zero in stats for 1st time(hope is the last) erm.. lots of eb stuff, oh ya.. Chinese new year holidays!! back in SDK!!!! wonderful week!!! manage to chat with my best friend in Canada!!! haha.. then.. swearing in ceremony!! gain weight. score of the month 8 out of 10

March
step down from eb, then join basketball competition got 'fried' busy with Uni stuff which is still quite busy, got a blood test, apply for this Uni, spy on that Uni... more badminton games, EB bbq dinner, a steamboat dinner, went to Pizzaria for Chap Goh Meh eve dinner(14th day of cny) went for Japanese food on chap goh meh. Red packet collection not as good as last year. erm.. weekly test on chemistry, bio test.. more blogging, got stuck between many things, donated my blood, realised that my blood is A +ve...help out in the donation, erm... got pressured by teachers.. trials in 1 and a half weeks time.. read lots of RD's.. nearly lost temper a few times due to unknown reasons.. lost weight. score of the month 7 out of 10.

nicknames collected this 3 months :
light-bulb remover,
fierce eb vice president,
vege(something that sound like tat),
almaranth ng,
geranyl ng,
wen ki,

things i need to improve:
learn how to deliver my points more clearly,
think of consequences when saying or doing something.
balance my time better,
make good decisions accurately and fast.

so.. did i achieve my plans for this 3 months?? well.. i give it a 6 out of 10.. during this 3 months there is lots of things that i do without plan and thing i plan to do but didn't do.. i felt bad that i didn't talk as much to my friends during those 1st 2 months due to my busy-ness in the election. thou i made more friends(more than i expected) but still i am more to my own old friends.. i have also reduce the frequency of replying mails to my other friends due to lack of time and the un-cooperativeness of the IT center's computers.. sad.. those nicknames is also not in plan..

i also been 'breath-big-air'(thau tai hei) lately.. jus feeling very 'fan' on life.. seriously lots of things seems to go wrong.. sad.. but still there is good stuff all over the place.. hehe.. have been crapping lots lately till the extend that i also don't know weather things that i say is the thing i really want to say. yupp.. like what i use to do.. crap.

one more thing.. i got a feeling that time has now being flying too fast. I have just settle down with life here.. a little too long time take to settle down but in another 3 months i will be leaving here. And of course I am NOT HAPPY with that. why?? anyway i am going to make the best of everything in this 3 months time..

so at the end of the day. map your furure, only with pencil and an erasser next to you.
pray hard study smart everyone!!!

selective advantage...

just finish an 110 minutes long bio test paper... here is something related to this test.
dinner the night before bio test...

em: pigs are smart.(staring at the 'siu yuk' at the end of her chopstick) their fat and meat are in layers.

me: hmmm...(enjoying my rice.. looking at her struggeling to remove layers of fat from her 'siu yuk')

em: why cant they be just one thick layer of fat and one thick layer of meat and the skin??

me: erm.. maybe long ago there is pigs which have a single layer of fat and a single layer of meat. but humans kill them all as food. so species of pigs with single layer of fat n meat has selective disadvantage. When all the pigs with single layer of fat and single layer of meat being kill, there will only reminder those with alternate layers of fat and meat which is a selective advantage during that time. When humans discover everything later, the species with single layer of fat and single layer of meat has already extinct. reminder those with alternate layers of fat and meat. and the species with alternate layers of fat and meat is able to reach maturation age to reproduce... that's why now pigs all have multiple layers of fat n meat....

em: oOoooKKkkkkAAaaaaaYyyyyyy.............(-.-!!!)

this are symptoms of excessive bio disorder.... hmmm.. haha

p/s feeling better this few days.. :)

the balancing act

mr T: did you ever ask why you need to know all this thing(maths stuff) and never use in your life??
students : ......
me: here he goes again.....
mr T: SEE.. YOU NEVER ASK WHY...
students : .....
mr T: you learn this things is to learn how to balance things in life....
me : huh!! Balance??

this was what my maths teacher said in class... BALANCE?? in the middle of a maths period?? sigh.. yeah balance... i need to BALANCE on my two legs now more coz i just sprain my right ankle. i need to BALANCE more on my Chemistry coz my equations are never BALANCE.. I need to BALANCE in my maths because my answer never equal to the right one?? i need to BALANCE my head with my hands when i sleep in class so that teachers never notice?? haha.. that's what i call BALANCE!!!!

seriously i think life is never balance no mater how hard we try. we can only balance them for a moment and then it will go out of balance.. maybe some physic student can count what is the torque force in this balancing act.. haha.. all we can do is just try to balance and pray hard it will be balance.. after all it make our life more interesting.. don't you think so?? till then.. i now need to balance my weight out of the IT lab to class.. how great.. sigh.. MY ANKLE HURTS!!!!

which is right??

i got this from a chat with a teacher recently.. here is the case.

this happen in a country where the law states that if a person reach the age of 16 he/she can make his own decisons without his/her parents consent

a boy which is 15 years old turning 16 in a few months had a heart disease that can be treated through a transplant. His parents found a suitable donar and he is fit for the tranplant. but he will not be able to wait till he is 16 years old for the transplant. The boy didn want the transplant because there is too much animal cruelty done. He say that its cruel that humans did this test on animals before doing them to humans. he insisted that rather die that go for the transplant. the boy understands his situation very well and he is quite mature. he is a very knowledgeable and he reads a lot. he is a vegetarian since the age of 2.

his parents was shock to hear it but since the boy is not 16 yet, they decided to go ahead with the transplant.

here is the problem:
is it ok that the parents use the law which states that they can make the decision for the boy??
or the boy can make his own decision to not take the transplant and die.
is the boy really mature enough to balance between right and wrong??

nostalgic

"come we go chase lions".. that was one of my favourite phrase during Chinese New Years when i am small.. the day i have been waiting for the whole year. dad will bring everyone in the family to the town to look at lion dances on day 4 of Chinese new year.
running up the staircase to the 1st floor to get a better view and usually got carried up by my dad as walls are taller than me. i will and had really enjoyed myself a lot. my dad use to feed me with those traditional Chinese stories on why the lions are here and why they jump on those tall poles. but that time i am just to young to understand much.

now, as i watch the lions jumping with life from pole to pole, this long lost memories suddenly float back into my brain slowly travel down to my heart. i remember the times that my dad brought us out, i remember the times that he did things that i nearly forget, i remember stuff i said and done. but the most of all i remembered him.
i don't know why but i felt a long lost feeling coming back to me which i cant really explain much. just that feeling.......

Lions are alive!!!

Sunday (15Th day of the lunar year)
gaya street in Kota kinabalu city has been over run by lions and unicorn throughout the whole street. People has been running away fearing of being eaten alive by the fierce lion and being nail to the tree by the unicorn's horn. Government officials is now trying to round them up but so far no actions has been taken.

www.lioncrusher.com/images/Lion_01.jpg

haha... just jocking.. there is no lions in South East Asia and there is also no unicorns in this world.. hehe. anyway today as i approach Gaya street or something like a flea market in KK. i was welcome by drums and symbols and gongs. the whole street is so cheerful welcoming these lion and unicorn troops. this two creatures are from the ancient Chinese history to scare of evil spirits. but nowadays its just to make Chinese new year more lively.

a Chinese lion picture i grab from yahoo search engine
www.communityni.org/uploads/images/content_images/n_ChineseDragon_200404.jpg

although there is two human under the lion head.. hehe.. but a skilled dancer can really make the lion looks alive. some of them are quite cute thou.. furry head short n stumpy tail shacking.. but some are furious. but overall they are one of the most important Chinese symbol during Chinese new year. this tradition is dying due to over commercialization. but still full respect to those that still carry on this tradition!!! Happy Chap Goh Meh everyone. =P
