dinner

walla.. another picture blog.. a food blog.. i wanted to post a food blog after coming back from penang.. but then. didn get much food pictures back then.. because... erm.. the food is in my tummy be4 i realize i need to photograph them.. haha.. anyway i am kinda full and sleepy to explain more.. haha.. well here is dinner for the day.. enjoy people..

me dominating the lappy before dinner..
saying my good byes to my chat buddies before leaving for dinner...

arrive at English Tea House.. one of the most prestigious restaurants in the nature city.. wonderful food, beautiful view.. superb environment..

today's special menu.. nope.. didn't have this.. we are going for the set dinners.. muaahahaha
after ordering and waiting.. here is our 1st dish.. as u notice there are dirt on the side of the plate.. nope.. its not on purpose.. well.. is because the brain of the photographer(me) is too attracted to the food and forget to take a picture before eating(which always happens) but he manage to vomit them out for the photo before drinking them back.. haha

1st dish: wild mushroom soup.. with garlic bread(no garlic bread in pic coz all is in tummy).
it taste kinda watery.. but.. with a touch of pepper and salt.. yum =)

main course: this is fish with white sauce...
fish cook with spices and with a dash of lime juice.. serve with mash potato, emperor shoot(a kind of vege) carrot and some bean sprout like vegetable... mum n dad had this.. got a small bite on it.. kinda taste like dry prawns.. maybe my tongue is contaminated with beef,, haha..

main course no2: roll up beef..
3/4 done.. serve with mash potato under the rolls and also carrots, emperors shoot and those beans sprout like vegetable. the sauce taste kind of like black paper.. i forgotten what fancy name they gave.. =) the meet is kinda chewy. thinly slice and cook and then roll up into a spring roll shape.. i had this for dinner.. because i don't really need to worry about my bad cholesterols rite?? enjoy and savor good food!!

now u see it no you don't.. before(above) and after(below) picture of the main course

guess what is it?? pizza with a overflow of melted cheese and swings of tomato ketchup?? or some kind of italian food??

a close up..

the interior of it... can't guess??
its desert!! custard raisin bread. is a bread with raisins and covered with custard.. yum yum.. wonderful desert after all those heavy meat... heavily raisin too.. notice those brown rounded stuff there?? with custard poured over the piece of bread and cherry syrup crossing up n down of it..

desert no2: chocolate ice cream..
all time favorite dessert for all age group.. top with whip cream and cherry syrup..
it taste as nice as it looks..

and some random pics
the open air area..
over viewing sandakan town and the the sea.. wonderful place to see ships float by.. there is also a peacock, a few cats, a telescope, Croquet lawn and wonderful maintain grass... how i always dream if my house has grass like that...

the cake cabinet
cheese cakes... chocolate, double layer, etc etc.. cost of each is about RM9.50 per piece.. quite a big one thou... if my dinner is not that full.. i might have had one.. haha.. but.. i will save it for another special day.. maybe share it with my girlfriend friends..

me n beloved mum..
do we look alike?? we are suppose to.. coz they say my bro look like my mum.. n i look like my bro..
so it means i look like my mum too rite?? haha.. hmmm... n dad?? dad is busy taking pictures.. haha..

the indoor area..
we book the whole restaurant.. jus for us. dats y its so empty.. haha.. no larr. its kind of empty during the week days and also for dinner.. but i heard is quite filled during lunch and holidays.. haha.. interior is beautifully design to maintain back the british time.. hanging green potted plants at the side and wooden celling makes it more nostalgic.. with some of those museum relics like the old iron where coal is used as heating element adds to that nostalgic feel.

the cake menu on the table..
may i have your order sir/ma'am??" haha..

overall the this place is a wonderful place for gathering of no matter the size.. a group of friends or wanting to spend a nice dinner with your special one.. the food are well prepared and the services given are very professional. as for price, its worth what you pay but its definitely not a place you will want to have dinner at a daily basis unless you have too much in your pockets. haha. i suggest go in the evenings before the sun sets so you can enjoy sandakan town's view better.. night views are blocked by trees... and sandakan town is dark at night.. so better use the help of mr sun.. for more information check out their website here . burb* excuse me.. haha =)
