workshop day 5 - 6

workshop now has grown into my daily routine and i think i am started to miss my students already.... crap..

I can control the 3 classes now. the way is = different kind of approach for different classes. phew, at last, i am able to find them now. happiness is in the air!!! wahahahaha

ok.. ok.. what have i learn after 6 days of shouting talking loudly.

1) balloons bring joy to all age group.
i still haven't discover why, the brightly rubber bag filled with air, is an eye catcher. all kids love balloons, most of the teenagers like balloons, some adults likes balloons. as i started this workshop, i didn't expect students to be so attracted to balloons. of course boys will have many ways to make a balloon interesting. and as for girls, all i can say, a balloon can make any quiet girl smile and laugh out. ahh.. the wonders of balloons.

2) Boys Vs Girls
have you ever heard primary school teachers complaining how naughty a 'boy' student will be and how good a 'girl' student is?? well its true. Boys are usually more active and hyper compare to girls. this usually apply to older pupils. as for primary 1 and 2, girls can be as hyper as boys if you know the method. Boy students need more attention compare to girls. i was actually surprise to see its the boys that need the attention i am giving. and the girls can always be left aside... hahaha..

alright. my observation skills are not as sharp as before already. so that's what i have so far.

on the other note, one of my student celebrate her birthday today. and guess what i gave her??

a pink balloon =) and i also taught her how to strike a match. yes, light a fire with a match stick. don't be surprise to see children now a days don't know how to strike a match. i remember i have a friend that don't dare to strike a match at the age of 17 years old. and i made her to strike it.. hahaha..

as for the rest, i guess they are now starting to open up now. they now dare to speak and shout the answers and also dare to approach me to ask for questions. which i think is good =) asking is good. although some students still have the 'you ask.. you ask' syndrome.. but, i will to force them to ask anyway.

anyway, i got the pictures of the moldy bread, but i don't have the cable or a flash card reader in hand =( so i can't upload them. maybe i will get the photo shop to burn them into a CD for me.

So i guess so far.. after 6 lessons.. i am doing some thing right... i hope i am. and i will get a feedback from my boss.

till then.. 4 more lessons and counting =)
